After Sol Sultana’s Surya Sultanate fell along with her at the end of the first era, control of the city passed onto some of her remaining loyalists and family. This became the Kav'orran Mahaan House Suryag.
Creating much of the grandeur of the city, they flourished in the separation of the city states with great infrastructure built by thousands of slaves. This led to their eventual downfall, with a slave rebellion leading to the rise of a new leader, Rakash Zaaba I, who deposed the house and formed the Kasaaqi Dynasty. Since then, House Zaaba has ruled the city and taken over much of the Kav'orra Desert.
