On the mysterious Crateredge Island, people who traveled far from Xi-Di formed the Cinoh Empire under the eastern dragonborn rulers of the Aomoya Family.
The island was populated for hundreds of years before the empire unified. The empire held for many centuries itself, until it was taken over by the Kagegojuu Family and turned into the Cinoh Shogunate.
Regardless of its eventual fate, the empire created much of the culture that Cinoh is now famous for, between its tea-ceremonies and its unique language.
The first Aomoya emperor had four legendary royal guards, who each wielded a unique elemental weapon as a part of the Aomoya Elemental Guardians:
Kurokasai. The Black Fire Katana Blade (Last Seen: Kagegojuu Aite 3E468)
Midori-no-Kaze. The Green Wind Yumi Bow
Suiryuto. The Water Current Katana Blade (Last Seen: Urata Kanda 3E452)
Tsuchi-o-Kiru. The Earth Cutter Ko-Naginata (Last Seen: Yama-no-Tsuki 3E455)
The rulers of the Empire were:

3E095 - 3E109 (14 Years) | Aomoya Paskan (M Gold Dragonborn, Ascended aged 38, Deposed aged 52, Died aged 81) |
The first people migrated to Crateredge Island from the Xoenni Peninsula around nine hundred years ago, a hundred years after the cometfall, naming the island 'Cinoh' after its mysterious nature. Fearful of the cometfall sea, they made their villages on the coast opposite it.
Six hundred years ago, the island was united into the 'Empire of Cinoh' under an eastern dragonborn emperor, Aomoya Altuk. His successor managed to conquer many nearby islands including modern day Tikius, but some say that setting foot on Akurisu cursed the empire. The Aomoya family declined over the next three centuries, losing control over all the nearby islands. Three hundred years ago, the final Aomoya emperor, Aomoya Paskan, was a tyrant that led the empire into a famine. The Kagegojuu clan, a family of Onilings, rebelled against the empire and gained public and political support. In a relatively peaceful takeover, Paskan stepped down as emperor and the empire was reformed into the Kagegojuu Shogunate in 3E109.
