Port Cinoh (志之港) is the largest city on Cinohshima and the capital of the Cinoh Shogunate. There are small streams of fresh water that run throughout the city, providing for the large population. Overwhelmingly populated by humans, it has some other minor races such as halflings, onilings, and eastern dragonborn.

The incredibly homogenous nature of the city and much of Cinoh as a whole leads to increased xenophobia in the outskirts. The central city, as one of the major trade hubs, is more open to the rest of the world- even hosting the Seven's Carnival once every eight years. The city is often referred to as Portci in slang to shorten the name.

Areas of the city include:

Image

Kyojo. The neighborhood where the elites live. Many of the houses are owned by elites who actually live in Taiyo. It contains multiple large gardens and parks, as well as the citadel itself.

  • The Citadel, which serves as the center of the shogunate's power and the palace of the ruling shogun.

  • Dawnpark, which is one of the most well maintained reserves as it is maintained by the royal family. It sees beautiful sakura blooms when the season arrives.

  • Shidono Temple, which is the central point of worship for the monastic tradition of long death, and one of the few temples solely devoted to the god Ashus. It is led by a positive-energy undead monk named Kazeshi, who has been given an increased lifespan by the reaper. There is a lot of superstition around the temple grounds and the monks themselves, due to the nature of the topic. The name translates to "Death-Hall Temple".

The Docks & Town Square. The center of the city and where most people gather, this marks the part of Port Cinoh most people are familiar with.

  • The Temple of Sigmus, which is situated in the upper part of the town square. Most sailors pay their respects here before sailing out of the city.

Ugachi Town. The richest part of the town after Kyojo, it was named after a noble from the second era. Known to have snobbish folk who don't tend to believe in curses and superstitions.

Suiseicho. Serving as more of a middle-class part of town as well as the market district, it contains shops of all kinds as a major trading hub of the Blood Sea. The name translates to "Comet Town".

  • Hoshiaki Onsen, which is a ryokan hotel that serves many of the richer travelers coming into the city. The name translates to "Star Fall (Autumn)".

  • The Helpful Vine, which is an apothecary owned by a halfling named Goya.

  • Cometfall Library, which is a library and book shop that holds many scrolls and tomes from across the world.

Juhama. The largest part of the city and the poorest part of the city where most of the peasants live. The name translates to "Cursed-Beach".

  • The Seven's Stadium, which was constructed by the Seven's Carnival as the hosting ground for whenever the Carnival visits the city once every eight years. Other events do happen occasionally in between these years, but more often than not the stadium sits unused.

Moyacho. Hidden from public view is the underground black market of the city. With various access points above grounds connecting to the sewer and canal system, it contains anything you'd wish to buy from across Abmarah. It is also called the "Mist Market".

  • Alakal's Weapon Hut, which is a black market weapon stall run by a drow named Alakal Aleanduis.

  • Scrolls & Fortunes, which is a magic scroll shop that specializes in telling fortunes via astrology and tarots.

  • The Akumakai Hideout, which is a yakuza hideout hidden deep inside a storage room within Moyacho.
