The Xoenni Peninsula, also known natively as the Shuòēn Bàndǎo (硕恩半岛) refers to the peninsular southern end of the continent of Eteru. It contains various biomes, including the Cāngmù Rainforest (苍木雨林) and the Yuèzhǎo Marsh (月沼).
The Cāngmù Rainforest (苍木雨林) takes up the majority of the peninsula, and is dotted with tall cliffs, hills, and pillar-like mountains that rise high above the mist and canopy. Some of these are actually volcanoes. Much of the forest has been cut down and deforested to make way for agriculture and grazing fields, especially near cities and towns. Most of the forest near the northern bank of the Xiānní River is gone, replaced instead by rolling hills used for farmland.
Numerous dynasties have ruled the peninsula. Dwarven dynasties, such as the fabled dynasty of Kai-Chin, wood elf dynasties such as the similarly opposed dynasty of Eteru which gave the continent its name, and even human dynasties. The longest lasting of these was the Kuan Dynasty, ruled by Omniborn during the later first era, serving as the eastern branch of their greater empire. Many of these dynasties lasted a long time because of the emperor's usage of potions of longevity mixed in with a closely guarded secret known as Dragon's Blessing. As such, the multiple century-long lifespans of the emperors led to long periods of peace and stability compared to the rest of the world's 'chaos'. However, the blessing finally ran out in the Third Era, and after a period of long civil war, a democratic nation rose known as Xi-Di.
The general rough timeline is considered to be:

The history of this land goes back thousands of years to the earliest people. Countless stories recount the land's illustrious beginnings, when a great dragon, one of three majestic siblings, descended from the heavens to establish the culture that would live here. The area in which the city of Xijing would one day rise was originally populated by nomadic hill dwarf shepherds alongside the first wood elves. As humans immigrated to the region, conflict between the races broke out. Legends say that the violence persisted for a century, until the Dragon of Heavenly Blessings who had founded 'Xoenn' returned. Descending from the clouds, the great dragon bowed before a young panda ursine leader, bestowing on him the ability to inspire and unify all the races. This ursine became the Diamond Dragon Emperor, founder of the land's first proper nation, the Ping Dynasty.
Eventually, this dynasty was weakened, and a dwarven warlord named Kai-Chin started to take over much of the land. His armies took over a large part of Eteru, so much so that the Elves of Aeteria sent their armies to stop him. It's said that back then, no one in this land followed Jakuna, all worshiped the monoliths. And then, its said that 'time broke'. In the most accepted version of the story, and in one timeline, he denounced Jakuna, and attacked the elves. He was stopped by an ancient hero that the elves called Aetheros. The continent, Eteru, is named after her. Aetheros' daughter became an empress. In another timeline, Kai-Chin actually converted to Jakunism and made peace with the Elves, and most in his land converted with him. He then went on to have a long lasting reign, and in fact had many children, a royal family. His son even became Emperor after him. And then...
Time came together, the two timelines merging in a temporal catasthrope called a Time-Break. And retroactively, both possibilties became true at the same time. Aetheros killed Kai-Chin, and her daughter was empress. At the same time, half of Xi-Di now followed Jakunism, and the sons of Kai-Chin still existed. The re-convergence of these two timelines was abrupt, and no one could explain what happened... So very few did. Most of the world moved on into the new war between an emperor and an empress, just thinking that this was always the way, Kai-Chin must've had his children before he died to Aetheros. Everyone's brains just hand-waved it away. History books from both timelines existed simultaneously, and aspects of both were dubbed fictitious. Only a select few people, especially the followers of Tempos, realized what happened. Inexplicably, two timelines that should have remained separate merged together, and the world was forever changed. This led to a few centuries of division known as the Two Dynasties Period, until the Eteru Dynasty eventually won out.
