The Southern Edge refers to the ice sheet at the south pole of Abmarah. Unlike the northern ice sheet and continent of Skion, the Southern Edge is a true ice sheet over an ocean that simply looks like a continent. It only has a single 'habitable' part that juts out of it known as Te Motuaotea. In reality, it is a large island that has become a part of the greater ice sheet.

The Southern Edge appears big on a world map due to polar distortion but is not actually as massive when looking at it on a globe. The ice sheet is heavily cratered, and the low temperature prevents most from traversing across it. Ships rarely sail alongside its coast due to the rough ocean current in addition to the persistent danger of icebergs.

Expeditions have been undertaken for centuries to reach the southern pole. An Omniborn airship reached the south pole during the First Era, but a land expedition wouldn't reach it until the third era.
