The Nine Heavens are the home of the celestials and the 'good' afterlife planes above Theratis' Azydos. Together, they are planes of solemn peace, ranging from quiet existences and eternal paradises to halls of merriment and eternal glory. Each of the heavens is fit for a different type of person, uniquely suited to the type of life the soul had led. The topmost layer of the heavens houses Jakuna's Divine Court, where all the laws of gods and men are decided upon.
The souls of heroes and celestials alike reside in these celestial planes, and living mortals are generally forbidden from entering. Even if living mortals are on a quest for good within the celestial planes, archons and heroes of old have a duty to try and stop them as per the divine laws. One such event was when the goddess Aklim lost her divinity and became mortal, and slowly climbed and fought through all the nine heavens to reach the Court where she finally regained her divinity.

The first layer of the heavens, the Meadows of Asphodel is known to be a neutral plane of very little activity, being completely covered by a vast grassland full of wheat stalks and ghostly flowers. The gray meadows offer little luxury or heavenly comforts, simply offering peace and quiet. Most souls end up Asphodel, as Theratis only sends the truly good to any of the other heavens, and she only sends the truly evil to the hells. A constant breeze blows through the grasslands, neither cold nor warm. Most of the souls sent here do not retain their corporeal forms, wandering the grasslands in peace. The mountains on the horizon have a blue tint, but they are practically unreachable via walking despite being seemingly a hundred miles away. The grassland is interrupted occasionally by small rock formations, tombs and memorials, as well as a few temples.

The second layer of the heavens, Saturia is a near-endless forest of large green trees with idyllic streams and lakes. It's said that it is the heaven meant for druids, rangers, followers of Deltus, and even the dead fey of the Feywild. The day never turns to night, and there is no sun in the sky despite the light. Yet, despite the endless day, it is always a cool temperate climate with unmoving clouds. Many spirits dwell Saturia, not necessarily of the dead. These spirits often take the form of animals or other natural forces, keeping an eye on souls and celestials alike.

The third layer of the heavens, Qaydar has endless caverns and cave systems, full of ethereal fog and underground pools and gardens. Much like the Underdark, only without any of the danger. It also has a lot of Arabian and Central-Asian inspired architecture.
The fourth layer of the heavens, Tuwarea, ocean
The fifth layer of the heavens, Svarga is a cloudy realm of golden temples, music, theater, and art.
The sixth layer of the heavens, Valriki houses heroes and warriors who died in battle, and seek glory even in death. cold
The seventh layer of the heavens, Elysium is full of gardens and meadows, housing heroes and scholars alike.
The eight layer of the heavens, Jovarde has lava and smoke filling its cavernous chambers, forge of the gods
The ninth and final layer of the heavens, Araboth is the topmost layer governed directly by Jakuna herself. Her Divine Court exists in the middle of the realm.
