Gammus, also known as Karnokta, was considered to be the minor god of sorrow and the dark hunt. He used to be a minor god of hunting not unlike Aklim, but was slowly corrupted by the darkness of the Shadowfell. He served a greater role in fey mythology where he was considered to be an archfey. Additionally, he was the second god to be considered a "Dark" god, after Morgariel.

Gammus was killed during the events of The Light of Lunaria when Viera Blackreyne, Vasirr, Zahn Zwei, Kai Li, and Dravin Bahubaahu got kidnapped into Gammus' hunting grounds but managed to kill him within his own demiplane using an Azbaan bullet.

Some cultures depicted him as having a stag head, while most depictions gave him a masked face with stag antlers. Stories claim that the darkness had permanently scarred his face, and that he wore the mask to hide it away.

He was said to be the son of the gods Mutrev and Nosos, born when Nosos seduced Mutrev after the end of the Realmshatter. He used a scythe as his weapon leading to some connections to the reapers that follow Ashus, although there doesn't seem to be any mythological link between death and Gammus.

Originally a chaotic god of hunting before his corruption to the darkness, Gammus embraced the Shadowfell and Morghos as his new master. In return, he was made the leader of the Dark Hunt, standing in direct opposition to the forces of the light.

Cults of Darkness believed him to be a harbinger of the darkness, and believed that he would lead the Dark Hunt to victory over the light one day. In Meiðrism, he was believed to be the disinherited son of Moðr named Kardýr that sought to corrupt the world tree.
