Starkford is a village in the Vyzum Wastes, on the banks of the Vazi River where it merges with another river. It marks a small trade stop for ships in between Varkunast and Erumaltu.

Now under control of the Calamity Covenant, the village used to be a small Varkanist village that was an extension of Varkunast, but was slowly taken over by colonists who even changed its name.

The village is growing rapidly as a trade stop, but the harsh wastes are too much for handle for most non-residents. The river only helps so much, and the ash storms from the nearby volcanoes is a constant threat.
