• 3E456/04/14 - On Tikius, Captain Zorak Tuskon as well as his first-mate Karlos hired Mio, Lemon, Varian, Zerath, and Steve aboard the Green Claw as temporary crewmates. They spent the next few nights doing nothing and staying adrift seemingly looking for something.

  • 3E456/04/18 - In the morning, Lemon discovered a stowaway named Lynx under the deck. She was a young teen Tabaxi who had recently escaped slavery. The captain agreed to let her stay so long she didn't ask for any money.

  • 3E456/04/19 - That night around midnight, Lynx spotted a meteor shower that the captain forced everyone to sail towards. They dug out the meteorite, but when Zorak touched it, he was instantly sucked into the meteorite and consumed by an aberration called the Formless Spawn. After defeating it, they acquired the extremely valuable 5kg chunk of starmetal. Karlos warned them that Zorak was supposed to deliver it to the lich-pirate Captain Movok Grimm of the Black Locker ghost ship. After a lot of bickering about who should be captain and what they should do, they broke the meteorite into two chunks, with one being a smaller 1kg rock. They decided to sail towards the planned spot where the Black Locker rose out of the sea to meet them. They decided to lie to Grimm that they only had the small rock, which he took for his purposes and then told his men to kill everyone but Steve who could lead him to the rest of it. Combat ensued, in which everyone almost died multiple times. Lynx decided to make a break for it in the rowboat until Mio capsized the Green Claw entirely. Lynx climbed aboard the Locker and found Grimm's phylactery that she then broke. Mio, while downed, heard the voice of Sigmus and was brought back by Steve. Eventually, they managed to take down Grimm who got eaten by the shark that Mio summoned. Varian and Mio then used a lot of wind and water to turn the ship upright again. With the expensive starmetal divided equally, they survived the night and decided to sell it later, except Lemon who wanted to make a starmetal ladle. Everyone kind of decided that Zerath should probably be captain, except for Karlos and Lemon. Lynx ran away aboard the rowboat with the deed to the Green Claw.

  • 3E456/04/22 - After selling their starmetal and splitting ways with the others at Tikius, there were only Zerath, Lemon, and Karlos left aboard the Green Claw. They hired repairs for the ship and headed into Belanar’s Tavern, running into Pirate Lord Belanar Gullis who asked them what happened to Tuskon. Upon asking who was captain now, they still couldn’t decide. He said that he wanted to hire their fast ship for a mission, and asked if any of them knew about divine matters. There, Rory joined the discussion as a cleric left behind by his ship on Tikius. Belanar explained to them that the Fire Priests of Makal kept Mt. Ashskull calm using rituals involving Infernal Iron. He’d ordered a shipment of 3 tons of the iron to Tikius, but his ship carrying it, the Blue Iron, was captured and impounded by the Crimson Navy at Nuncaverano. He offered to pay them 1000 gold each to save Tikius from the volcano, as well as offering their ship repairs on the house. The four hired some ten hirelings and headed out.

  • 3E456/04/23 - Reaching Nuncaverano in the morning, they docked at the city and bribed the dockmaster. The four then snuck into the Crimson docks, Lemon and Zerath sabotaging the Crimson frigates while Rory and Karlos snuck aboard the Blue Iron and freed the ship. As the four started sailing away, some Redcoats and Faithkeepers jumped aboard but were quickly dispatched. While some were dead, Rory only knocked out the ones he fought. The only Crimson frigate that was able to follow them was slowed down and then blown away by the Green Claw. Rory put the three soldiers in the brig, and then fought with Lemon over his insistence on trying to eat the Faithkeepers. He knocked Lemon out and put him in a cell as well. They all reached Tikius late at night near midnight, where Belanar welcomed them and put the iron on a cart being drawn by a Hadrosaur used as a pack animal. Lemon took a kilogram of infernal iron. Rory asked Belanar what he was hiding, to which he revealed that his men didn’t return from the Fire Temple. They made him pay half of the money up front and then headed up Mt. Ashskull. In the Fire Temple, they found corpses of pirates and fire priests. Rescuing a few of them, they explained that a fire giant had torn through them. Inside the volcano, they saw the fire giant kill the head priest, introducing himself as Kastam of the Red Flame. "Your priests deny the volcano its purpose. Let it erupt, and burn away all settlers on this isle." He said to them, and started to attack. After a tough fight that almost ended badly, they managed to take him down just barely. With the ritual to calm the volcano underway, they got paid fully and celebrated in Tikius.

  • 3E456/08/02 - Some months after the incidents of the Green Claw, Belanar Gullis summoned to his bar-castle in Tikius a bunch of individuals for a new mission: Lemon (His Cook), Lynx (Who'd been working for the pirates helping free slaves), Samudra (A noted revolutionary anti-colonialist), Dura (an ex-cinohan/japanese noble), and Wulfric (an artificer from Sombus stuck in Tikius after almost being enslaved). Joining them was Ilyas Raith who came to Tikius looking for Wulfric. Belanar explained to this newly gathered party that one of his men, Markham Karn, was going to escape with the ship called the Red Comet. He wanted to mutiny against Belanar's control and join a group of slavers instead. At the same time, sightings of demons were increasing throughout the sea. He promised the party employment and their own ship if they could recover the Red Comet. The party traveled to the north part of Makal Island (where Tikius is) through a jungle coast fighting off sun raptors and rain. Reaching a secret port, they boarded the Red Comet, and fought & killed Markham Karn. They sailed back to Tikius, where Belanar gave them their next mission: Take this ship to the nearby city of Port Philin where Markham was going to take the ship to be retrofitted into a slave transporter. The party then renamed the ship to The Blood Wyvern.

  • 3E456/08/03 - The next morning, the ship sailed to a small port town called Rawan Town nearby the Crimson Fort Rawan. Their crew of NPCs wanted to resupply and restock for the greater journeys ahead. Samudra, who had been to the town before found no children this time, and the party learned that people were talking about a giant bird having kidnapped two children recently. Deciding to investigate, they travelled up the rocky coastal cliffs and found a bird-demon called a Vrock. While fighting it, they found its nest where it had transformed the two human children irreversibly into two demon vrock children. The party sadly put down the children and killed the Vrock, before sailing onwards towards Port Philin.

  • 3E456/08/04 - Reaching there the next day, they split to investigate. Wulfric went to one of his relative's shops for some gear and to send a letter home. Meanwhile, the rest of the party went to an underground secret market underneath the city where Lynx spotted one of the slavery ring's leaders, a green dragonborn named Festeron. Lemon challenged Festeron to a drinking contest but lost quickly, but the party managed to follow Festeron to a secret port and jail where they were keeping slaves. At this secret dock, the party saw a plant-like humanoid named Fern attacking one of the slavers. They jumped in to help, realizing that most of the slavers were not here at the moment and neither were more than half of the slaves. They must be on their ship delivering them elsewhere. Killing the guards and heading into the jail, they freed the remaining slaves but were attacked by the skeleton crew of slavers that remained here led by Festeron. After a tough fight, Lynx defeated Festeron and got her revenge. They explored the office of the leader of the slavery ring, an alien-looking woman named Silver who wasn't here that day. In her office they got some loot, as well as a letter by Lord Blackwood, asking for slaves as "test subjects". Some of them knew that this was the Blackwood Institute of Science, an arcane-biochem institute situated in Jasiv, the capital of the crimson isles and the biggest city around. The party decided to set sail to Jasiv and leave Port Philin behind.

  • 3E456/08/05 - The next day of sailing proved difficult as they saw a stormfront on the horizon which they were sailing into. The first day of the storm was the hardest, in which Ilyas and Fern almost fell overboard. With Lemon at the helm, the ship managed to survive the night with everyone exhausted from the night.

  • 3E456/08/06 - In the morning, Lynx and Ilyas noticed two shadows swimming underneath the ship. Ilyas recognized them as Hezrou, frog-like demon foot-soldiers who were tracking them for some reason. The two frog demons jumped onto the ship and attacked, but everyone managed to deal with them. In the end, Fern picked one up and threw it at the other, killing and knocking them both overboard. The next few days of travel towards Jasiv were calm, but it rained throughout.

  • 3E456/08/09 - Upon reaching Jasiv one afternoon just as the rain clouds cleared, the ship docked legally at the dock. They went to the market to buy some gear and supplies, before entering the demiplane magic shop called "The Laughing Skull" where they bought some magic items from its skeleton owner. The party then scoped out the Blackwood Institute of Science and the hill it was on for entrances and exits. Fern asked some weeds nearby the institute's gates for information, and the weeds revealed that they took dead drakes inside some time ago. In the end, the party decided to disguise themselves as slaver mercenaries delivering Lynx and Fern to the institute as experiments. Their con worked, and they were let into the basement levels of the Institute, where a Biomancer doctor paid Wulfric, Ilyas, and Dura for their service while taking Lynx and Fern in. Fern "broke out" and caused a distraction that the other three used to sneak away and disguise themselves as surgeons and students. They followed the Biomancer into a secluded lab where he was about to put Lynx and Fern into liquid tubes. He had a monstrous half-human half-dragon experiment next to him, and other half-baked test subjects within tubes as well. They snuck up behind the doctor and started to fight, with Lynx and Fern breaking out of their bounds and attacking both the Biomancer and his experiments. The party managed to kill the two experiments and the doctor without causing too much noise or garnering attention. Fern released the remaining grafted abomination, and Dura convinced him using his disguise that they were friendly. The party named the abomination "Drake" and told him to follow them. Sneaking through the facility down to the lower levels, they saw through a one-way-glass an experiment about to take place fusing a dragondemon with a human. Dr. Blackwood, leader of the institute and a black dragon in human form, was there talking to Silver, the leader of the slavers. The party escaped through the sewers and met up with Samudra as the pipe broke and fell into a cesspit of biowaste. They fought overgrown giant cockroaches led by a cockroach lord before escaping to their ship. They decided to sail out to find the slavers' ship. At night, they spotted their ship anchored near a beachside bar. They blew out all the lights on their ship to sneak closer. The party snuck aboard the enemy ship but were seen by Ember, the second-in-command after Silver. During the all-out-fight against the slavers, Lemon and their crew shot multiple broadsides at their ship, obliterating it and causing it to sink. Their crew got the ten or so slaves out to their ship for safety, but Ember managed to escape into the sea and swim away. For good measure, the party shot their cannons at the slavers' bar and blew it up. Some of the freed slaves joined the crew, and explained how the institute was trying to use the slaves to create an army of super soldiers by mixing in dragon or demon biology.

  • 3E456/08/10 - The next morning, they reached Jasiv again but saw three institute ships sailing in a south-east direction. They decided to follow them for the next few days at a distance, fixing up all the damage to their ship over time at sea.

  • 3E456/08/13 - On the fourth day of travel, they followed the three ships beyond the common shipping lanes into nearly-uncharted islands. In the foggy and rainy morning, their ship suddenly jolted to a halt. Tentacles appeared, as a colossal krakendemon attacked the ship. Some crewmates died and Fern and Samudra were almost eaten, but the party managed to kill the krakendemon before their ship was destroyed completely. They followed the ships to a small village-island called Dediri which had ruins that must've been many centuries old. It seemingly had been transformed into a company town run by the institute, and they saw the demon Vrocks flying and nesting in the trees. They decided to go the long way around and dock their ship on the opposite side of the island overnight.

  • 3E456/08/14 - The next foggy morning, they snuck into the jungle, dodged a demonic dinosaur, and found a chain-link fence laced with salt. In the center of the island was a lake with buildings and slave camps around it, as well as a tower. Within the lake was a portal to the Abyss that the institute had created artificially, letting demons into the sea. They spotted Silver and Blackwood high up in the ruined tower looking down at the compound. Lynx spotted her old friend Luna amidst the slaves, as well as Varian who recognized the party from a distance. The party ambushed a slaver at the outhouse and kidnapped him, interrogating him for information and taking his keys and clothes before killing him. Fern and Samudra went to the other side of the compound near the institute offices, and removed the protective salt from the barrier there. They tried to lure the dinosaur in to cause a distraction, but instead lured a giant orangutan demon called a Barlgura. The Balgura chased Fern specifically, and the two barely managed to escape. It rampaged through the offices before it was brought down. Meanwhile, using that distraction, the others freed Varian, Luna, and the remaining slaves and killed the slavers. Luna took the slavers to the Blood Wyvern, as the party rested. They then dodged the search parties sent out by Silver for the next few hours into the night. At night under a full moon, they spotted Silver and some of her men going off the path into the jungle. Following them, they saw Silver commune with the archdemon Juiblex at a pond. She was a warlock of the lord of nothing, and promised him in abyssal that soon the portal would allow his ooze armies to invade and that the dragon did not suspect a thing. The party used this opportunity to attack Silver for good. After a long and difficult fight, Varian was able to use heat metal and take down Silver. The party finally got rid of all the slavers, with only the institute left to deal with. They traveled back to their ship to rest for the night. Under the moonlight, Varian realized that Ilyas was a Dhampir. Wulfric realized that Ilyas had killed his family and lied to him all his life, leading to a big argument.

  • 3E456/08/15 - The next day, they brought their crew together and planned a three-pronged strike. Luna, Drake and some crew members would set up an explosive trap at the main path, other crew members would disrupt the salt fence and attack the institute offices, while the main party attacked the tower. At the tower, they ran into Volnax Blackwood II alongside two large siegeforged automatons. After a long and arduous fight in which some of the party members almost died and drowned into the Abyss, they killed the dragon. They used the core of the siegeforged to explode the crystal powering up the portal and destroyed it. As this happened, they realized many of their crew members were dead and they were about to be overrun by institute forces. Suddenly, hundreds of pirates broke through the jungle to save them, as Belanar’s fleet arrived and destroyed the institute ships. The party got to keep much of the loot they got from the institute. Lemon and Fern decided to keep working for Belanar, Wulfric headed back to Sombus on bad terms with Ilyas. Varian decided to head back to the Aethian Dominion for a while before returning to Tikius, and Dura headed east to Xi-Di. Samudra went back to being a revolutionary with newfound money. Lynx and Luna decided to travel back to their ruined village to look for any survivors.
