The simmering tension in Verrinthar finally boiled over. While the party attempted to negotiate with the terrified Guard line, the riot broke through, plunging the Magistrate's Rise into chaos. Amidst the surging crowd, Cipher and the Guard Captain confronted Magistrate Valcrest on the Oration Platform. The creature shed its disguise, revealing a terrifying mythic form of glass and void, but the Rookery was ready.
Cipher brandished a mirror, catching the creature in its own reflection. The resulting fracture left it stunned and vulnerable. In a flurry of steel and spells, the Magistrate was shattered, exploding into a hail of glass. In the aftermath, the party stabilized the city, placing the Guard Captain in temporary command, and secured the deed to The Plough and Mirror. Leaving the city behind, you took to the road toward Gelnara, only to find a broken carriage and bodies with no faces. Viola said they were here... "The Circle."
