Fairweather district

Overview

The youngest district of Naal Ok Zin that grew along the Veysun harbor as more and more refugees arrived. What was an encampment for the first couple of years has now grown into the biggest trade hub on Eir Andusk.

Originally called the "Janus Fairweather" district, after the founder of the Eldritch Inquisition, the first name was dropped after many members of the kobold slum population mocked the pronounciation of the name Janus and made it into rather crude jokes.

Layout and landmarks

  • Greystone market: The largest trade centre on Eir Andusk, many wares both forgein and domestic are traded here. Aside from dragonborn there are many stalls and shops under dwarven, elven and human leadership to be found here. Named after the Greystone family that has been in charge of the Eldritch Inquisition for two generations. Among the many stalls, visitors can often find the cart of Sell-You-Me-Own-Nan Nina.

  • Veysun harbor: Largest harbor on Eir Andusk, port of call for many trade vessels and home to a large part of the Eldritch Inquisition Remants fleet. Lucille McTennite - Brown's ship "Beloved Richter" and William Walton Friedman's "Twilight Princess" can often be found moored at its docks. Many warehouses line the docks.

  • Blackshield Tavern: Largest tavern in Naal Ok Zin, offers rooms an services to many sailors and travellers. Operated by members of the Order of the Black Shield. A large painting of the orders founder Col. Hector (Der Stier) Schwartzschild hangs in the main hall of the tavern. Members of the order and patorns raise a glass to it every night at 18:25, the time at which during the siege of Stormhaven, the north western gate fell and Hector Schwartzschild held of the invaders long enough for the other defenders to escape before being captured and incarcerated himself.

  • McTennite mansion: Home of Lucille McTennite - Brown, her daughter Jennifer Roberta McTennite and other members of the McTennite Family. It is a well guarded building on the edge of Naal Ok Zin. Some say it is build like a fort to hide a pirate hoard, others say it is so to keep Lucille's daughter safe.

Economy and daily life

Being the largest trade hub on Eir Andusk, the Fairweather district sees a lot of commercial and economic activities. Mostly centered around the Greystone Market and surrounding shops. There is also a thriving market for information.

Culture and religion

There are several small shrines and temples catering to the different denominations living and passing through Naal Ok Zin.
