The Ruins of Kall-Carie are all that remain of the coastal city of Kall-Carie, swallowed by sand in 245 ATC. The city was devoted above all to Harmonia, Mistress of Gentle Passage, whose white doves were said to guide souls beyond the veil.
Kall-Carie was once a proud coastal stronghold, its White-and-Red rooftops shining like a beacon for travelers crossing the golden dunes. The city rose behind high stone walls, built to withstand both the desert winds and raids from sea marauders.
A great bridge of pale stone connected the city to the sandy mainland, its gateway adorned with carved doves, the symbol for the Idol Harmonia. At the city’s heart towered The White Spire of Harmonia, once the tallest structure visible far out at sea.
The city was founded where the desert met the sea, a strategic location that made it both a defensive stronghold and a trade nexus. Protected by high stone walls and linked to the mainland by a monumental bridge, the settlement grew into a proud city-state. Life revolved around the teachings of Harmonia, a faith dedicated to balance and the cycle of life and death.

Harmonia was more than an idol in Kall-Carie; she was its soul. Shrines to the White Dove crowned every district, and the Spire of Harmonia rose above all, its bells marking the rhythm of life and death.
Her words, inscribed upon the Spire’s gates, greeted all who visited:
“In the waning daylight, find comfort. In the serene transition, discover tranquility.
I am your guide through the unseen realm, leading you to the next step of your journey.”
The faithful believed that when a citizen of Kall-Carie passed, Harmonia herself guided them gently into the afterlife, away from violence and despair. Death was not feared in Kall-Carie, but honored, marked by the White Dove Ceremony, where living birds were released to carry the spirit onward.
Legends taught that Harmonia’s grief came from her doomed love for Mortemus, Idol of carnage. Where Mortemus thrived on the cries of battle and the blood of the fallen, Harmonia tended only to those who slipped away quietly. Their union was impossible, torn apart by their natures.
This tale was often invoked in Kall-Carie, a city that prized peace but was surrounded by conflict. Citizens spoke of themselves as Harmonia’s chosen, the counterpoint to Mortemus’s endless song of war.
On the day of the city’s disappearance, many witnesses swore they saw doves scattering from the Spire. Years later, clerics debated whether this was Harmonia gathering her children, or abandoned them. Stories tell that Clerics of Harmonia all over Ignisar, though far from the Kall-Carie, later claimed they felt the same stillness they had always associated with their lady—but twisted, as if the gentle passage had been violated, stolen by something monstrous.
Some whisper that the Voidspawn were able to reach Kall-Carie precisely because of Harmonia’s ancient tie to Mortemus, exploiting the wound of a love that never healed.

Years later, the wound is still raw. Families grieve, merchants reroute their ships and caravans, and the clerics of Harmonia are left shaken. Struggling to reconcile their lady's promise of gentle passage with the violence that consumed her faithful city.
The ruins are both shrine and curse. Pilgrims leave offerings of white feathers and broken skull carvings, both symbols of Harmonia’s duality. Clerics of her order are divided: some believe Kall-Carie’s fall was a test of faith, while others fear it was punishment for forgetting that Harmonia was not only gentle, but also marked by loss.
To this day, no White Dove Ceremony has been performed in Kall-Carie’s absence. The faith lingers fractured, its followers asking whether Harmonia truly guided the lost souls—or whether she wept as the sands claimed them.
