The Battle of Lionfalls was a decisive engagement that restored Sarta’s independence during the War of the River.

In 350 AC, King Jonas Kadim led the Sartian armies to Lionfalls, where the river Fork forms a vast delta. There, in the treacherous marshlands, stood the United Armies of the Fork, sworn to King Eru Whiteshield and the dominion of Lothen.

In secret, King Jonas had already secured the allegiance of disaffected officers from Igros and Sol who chafed under Lothen’s yoke. With their covert aid, he assembled a Sartian host 20,000 strong, bolstered by saboteurs ready to disrupt enemy formations from within.

Jonas deployed an elite unit of archers from Raigwood, whose precise volleys lured Lothen’s cavalry deeper into the sucking marshes. Once trapped, the horsemen were annihilated beneath relentless arrow storms.

The battle then shifted to the riverbanks, where a battered but resolute force of 5,000 Sartians faced 12,000 Lothenians and, against all odds, achieved a historic victory on the 5th of August 350 AC.

The triumph at Lionfalls secured Sarta’s freedom, shattered Lothen’s aura of invincibility, and kindled fresh hope in the hearts of Igros and Sol.
