After Karadra and her crew fell to the dread Taarum Thiaspis, the dark truth of his atrocities beneath the Vespia Sea reached the fractured Order of the Blade Guardians.

With the order torn by discord and leaderless, a desperate few rallied for one final strike to drive the lich from his underwater domain.

Guided by Arsik Derois, the sole survivor of Karadra’s doomed voyage, they descended into Taarum’s abyssal lair.

Already weakened by infighting, the Guardians faltered further when Iliandor Irion mysteriously abandoned the battle, shattering what little unity remained.

Facing impossible odds in the crushing depths, the remaining Blade Guardians fought valiantly and fell to the last. Yet their sacrifice was not in vain—their furious assault dealt Taarum a mortal wound to his power. Forced to flee his ancient stronghold, the Lich of the Seas vanished from the Vespia Sea forever.

Though the expedition ended in tragedy and betrayal, it succeeded in breaking Taarum’s reign of terror beneath the waves.
