Archmage | Ruler of a city and master of its Local Pool of Magic. Commands city defenses, enforces law and holds court. Must submit their magic to the Royal Pool. |
Magelord | Landed noble mage ruling a tower or fortress in rural regions. Maintains border security, trains rural mages, and leads regional Navarune. Though not bound to the Royal Pool, they owe fealty to the Queen. |
High Magus | Senior mage overseeing magical circles, teaching at arcane academies, and inventing new spells. Often assists an Archmage or Magelord in governance. May act as a regional advisor or guild representative. |
Magus | A full practitioner of magic. May hold minor positions of authority, teach apprentices, or serve in arcane militias. Allowed to own a small tower if granted by a superior. |
Druid | Serves as mediator between the natural world and Rosian authorities. |
Mageknight | Arcane warrior and champion of a Magelord or Archmage. Combines martial prowess with spellcraft. Leads tower guards and enforces magical law in dangerous territories. |
Court Mage | A mage retained by a powerful individual, often an Archmage or aristocrat. Advises on magical policy, and may act as an envoy in magical diplomacy. An official speaker of an Archmage or Magelord. Delivers decrees, gathers taxes, and ensures loyalty. May be empowered to judge or duel in the name of their master. |
Navarune | The bulk of the Rosian army, trained in both magic and arms. Serve under Magelords, Archmages, or the Queen directly. They are also referred to as Spellblades. |
Adept | An apprentice with foundational knowledge of structured spellcasting. Acts as a scribe, assistant, or magical agent in training. May serve in minor urban roles. |
Initiate | A student of magic, just beginning their training in a tower, circle, or academy. Studies theory, cantrips, and control. Considered “magically literate” upon entering this rank. |
Civiri | A Rosian citizen who holds wealth, influence, and a household. Has no right to a sigil or tower. Often engages in trade, politics, or magical patronage. Has no right to Rosian magical education. |
Velari | The same rank as a Civiri, in terms of rights. Has gained citizenship but originates from a foreign kingdom. |
Terran | Laborers and farmers who sustain Rose’s agriculture, construction, and basic industries. Though magically untrained, they are vital to the kingdom’s survival. |
