Zandra: A young woman dressed in black who travels with Snake Eye Joe and takes a leadership role among the Dread Stalkers. She seeks something upon the mainland and accepts a tense alliance with the companions.
Ned Flan'Deres and Lendo Malorian: Zandra's two leather-clad companions. One wears a covering over much of his face, while both remain quiet during the negotiations at the Blooming Petal.
Snake Eye Joe: Captain of the Dread Stalkers. His pirates rescue the companions, buy out much of the Blooming Petal, and continue seeking a ship to the mainland.
Madame Iris: Proprietor of the Blooming Petal. She protects the recovering companions, returns their equipment, and helps them evaluate the granary, the castle reward, and possible routes toward a ship.
Bathlamule: The eccentric blacksmith and bat dealer who rewards Vyr's referrals with a second-tier bat after refusing to sell her his most dangerous specimen.

Selendra Cassiandros: Marquis of Gavra. She hears the companions' evidence, orders an investigation of the granary, and considers placing them aboard a naval expedition toward Tyve.
Silas Palligref: Appears beside Selendra as a trusted advisor despite having led the attack. He recognizes the companions and manipulates the Marquis toward sending ships to the mainland.
Eth: The goddess represented by the great fountain in central Gavra. Her public image remains visible while citizens respond to the attack with vigils, sage, and religious fear.
The Tangled One: Gavrans place protective signs and wards against her throughout the city after the darkness and sea creature attack.
Gate of Cephas: A feared barrier beyond the vortex that Selendra names as another obstacle between Gavra and the Tyve mainland.

Velpa Trading Company: A major Gavran company marked by a trout breaking through a net. It is connected to the Shattered Isles and to the experimental Maelstrodomus.
