Army

The armed forces of Scyltheld for the most part are a defensive organised, with fyrds being extensively used across the settlements of the land to raise an army quickly and efficiently should any neighbouring, or sea-faring nation threaten their territory. The soldiers, are well-trained if not exceptional and prefer to wield a spear and shield over horseback. However, the Cyning does command 500 exceptionally skilled warriors that are the vanguard when launching assaults into the territory of Sarańavaama. At full strength, Scyltheld can be expected to raise a fighting force of around 10,000.

Navy

The Navy of Scyltheld is small, owing to Arthod The Great’s great burning of his fleet of ships to display that their voyage was permanent. Since then, the Scyltheldish have preferred strong land under their feet than water. However, the risk of raids from their once brothers in Orkfjarr remainds high, so they do maintian a small colalition of longships to defend their trading cogs, of around 25 longships and 150 cogs.
