In the second era under the Empire of Cinoh, the first Aomoya emperor had four legendary royal guards, who each wielded a unique elemental weapon. Suiryuto is a part of this set of the Aomoya Elemental Guardians.

Suiryuto was forged by a water-genasi named Urata Nagisa. After him, it passed through countless generations of the Urata family. It slowly lost its connection to the sea, losing its powers and rusting over the ages.

Finally, Urata Anlyth was given the ceremonial rusted katana by his father, Urata Kanda, when he joined the Phoenix Nebula officially. When he killed a juvenile kraken with it, it reawakened the blade to its potential. After Anlyth's death, the blade was returned to Urata Kanda by the rest of the crew.
