Name: Hrothgar Greymont
Race: Human
Age: 53

Hrothgar Greymont is the current Guildmaster of the Slayers Guild and the head of the renowned monster hunting tradition maintained by House Greymont in the northern settlement of Norso. Born into a lineage that had spent generations tracking and destroying creatures that threatened the frontier, Hrothgar was raised with the understanding that survival in the northern wilds required more than courage. From an early age he was taught how to read tracks in frozen soil, how to listen for unnatural silence in the forest, and how to recognize the difference between ordinary beasts and creatures twisted by unstable Mana. His childhood was spent traveling with experienced hunters who showed him that monsters were rarely simple animals. Many were the result of imbalance within the natural world, and understanding that imbalance was often the difference between a successful hunt and a fatal mistake.

Hrothgar earned his reputation long before he became leader of the guild. As a young Slayer he joined dozens of hunts across the colder regions of Llithe, facing everything from massive tundra predators to corrupted creatures that had wandered south from unstable Mana zones near the Wisp. His most famous hunt occurred during an expedition into the deep forests north of Norso where an entire logging settlement had vanished without explanation. After tracking the threat for days through snow covered terrain, Hrothgar discovered the settlement had been destroyed by a creature warped by concentrated Mana exposure. The battle lasted nearly an entire night, leaving him heavily wounded but victorious. The tale spread quickly across Llithe and cemented his reputation as one of the most capable Slayers of his generation.

When the previous guildmaster passed away, the hunters of Norso chose Hrothgar Greymont to lead the Slayers Guild. As Guildmaster he now oversees contracts across the kingdom, dispatching Slayers to villages, trade routes, and frontier settlements threatened by dangerous creatures. Though his presence carries the weight of authority, Hrothgar still joins hunts when a threat grows too dangerous for ordinary hunters to handle. In recent years his attention has increasingly turned toward the strange disturbances spreading from the Wisp since the appearance of the Tower of Soddom. Creatures touched by corrupted Mana have begun appearing farther from the coast than ever before. Hrothgar understands that if these changes continue, the work of the Slayers Guild may soon shift from isolated hunts to defending the very borders of civilization itself.
