Daimaō Damien was a major antagonist during the Curse of the Blood Sea campaign. A blessed Oniling, he had the ability to transform into a large fiend.
He took over the Akumakai Yakuza Clan at a young age alongside his sister Daimaō Kiriba, and quickly rose in popularity among the nobles of the Cinoh Shogunate.
He colluded with his lover Kagegojuu Aite to assassinate her father Shōgun Iwale, and then murdered her brother Kagegojuu Miyoshi himself. He wished to become Shōgun himself, and almost won. He fought the crew of the Phoenix Nebula, but was defeated and then murdered by D'vorah.
Biography
Early Life
Damien and his younger sister were born and brought up in Taiyo within the Daimaō Compound. He grew up an extroverted yet surprisingly shy child, but his innate charisma made him popular even as a teenager. In 3E442 during the events of Demon of the Carnival, 12 year old Princess Aite was kidnapped by men working for Daimaō Niseki, Damien's father. While she was rescued by some heroes, she met a young 14 year old Damien while she was being held in the Akumakai fortress. They kept a good friendship even after these events.
He started to learn magic from the rangda hag-kami, Baba Setani. There, he met Aite again. She taught him dark arts as well as tamed his beastial transformation. She took the two to the mythical Mount Yukiba often.
In 3E445, when he was 17, he killed his own father Niseki and took over as the chairman of the Akumakai Clan. He received some support from Singularity of the Aekai Family, the long standing rivals of the Akumakai. He became more and more popular in the Cinoh Shogunate, increasing his political standing while also helping the common people.

After the death of Singularity in 3E450, Damien seized control after the power vacuum left from the Aekai Clan. In 3E452, he hatched a plan with his now-lover Aite to depose her father and put Damien and herself in charge of the country owing to his popularity. They successfully got her father Iwale assassinated, leading to Aite becoming acting-shōgun while her brother was still a minor. She let the appearance of her brother leading the country continue, something that fooled even him.
When the crew of the Phoenix Nebula returned to Cinoh and tried to investigate Damien, Aite pretended to support them. They inflitrated his 24th birthday party being held in the Akumakai Compound in Taiyo, where he had invited Grand Admiral Isabeau of the Crimson Empire. She expected him to take power in Cinoh, and wanted to make a deal with him to let the Crimsons have Tikius. He had her dance with him as he discussed their plans. He later caught Elise Pearlwynd, Sif, and Kagegojuu Miyoshi sneaking into his tower. In his dungeon, he later taunted and executed Prince Miyoshi.
Returning to Port Cinoh, everything culminated in a final battle against Aite and Damien within the Cinohan throne room. He learned that the Nebula had already murdered his sister, and transformed into his bestial form.
"Fuchi-kun, honestly, an eye for an eye- You murdered my brother, it's only fair, in a way."

He was defeated by the party, and then executed by D'vorah. Aite broke down in tears upon his death. This brief moment of weakness gave chance for Urata Anlyth to depose her and take the throne, but he refused to do so. Instead, the Nebula and the other powerful people present like Monk Kazeshi forced Aite to agree to a democratic council stripping her of many of her powers, essentially turning the country into a democratic monarchy. She agreed, and seemed to move on from Damien's death very quickly.
A few years later in 3E455 during the events of The Hag of Mount Yukiba, Monk Kazeshi and the kami Kinuye-no-Yukiba hatched a plan to have brave adventurers defeat Aite and Damien's teacher Baba Setani before she could ascend and became an okami. They believed that she still held a lot of sway over Aite, and wanted to sacrifice Aite to ascend to godhood. They successfully defeated Baba Setani, and then she transformed into flies and possessed the rotting corpse of Damien to become Iebael's Avatar of Flies. They won the battle by pushing them into the lava of Mt. Yukiba, finally ending her evil for good as well as destroying Damien's corpse. Sakurajima Satsuki got his revenge on Damien as well by doing this, as he loved Miyoshi who Damien had murdered.
Timeline
3E429 - Damien is born in Taiyo.
3E442 - During the events of Demon of the Carnival, a 12 year old Aite met a young 14 year old Damien for the first time.
3E445 - 17 year old Damien takes over the Akumakai Clan from his father Niseki while under the tutelage of Baba Setani.
3E452 - At age 24, Damien colludes with Aite in a plan to assasinate her father and brother, but was ultimately defeated and killed in Act 2 of Curse of the Blood Sea.
3E455 - Three years later during The Hag of Mount Yukiba, his corpse was possessed by Baba Setani during a ritual turning into the Avatar of Flies. He was cast into the lava of Mount Yukiba, ending him and Setani for good.
