Aldrigvinter

Aldrigvinter is a large city that serves as the capital of the Kingdom of Førland, and used to be the capital of Fyrstland before it. One of the most important cities in the northern world, even if it comparatively lacks in size to some of the larger metropolises. Considered to be the 'Jewel of the North', and has been an unrestrained land of free commerce for millenia.

While it diverges in many ways, the city is based heavily on the city of Neverwinter from the Forgotten Realms, since it was included in the Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign.

The city's southern gate is paradoxically called the North Gate, as it is the end-point for the Dragon Road, which stretches all the way down the western coast of Aurial down to the South Gate of Sergorod in the Lunar Collective.

Most people believe that the city is named for its unusually warm climate and how its harbor remains ice-free in the winters, owing to the warm river that flows from a nearby volcano known as Mt. Glørim.

The city was founded in the First Era as a small fishing village, that the Omniborn named Lizania ("Fire-River") due to the warm waters.
