Buster is a warforged character that worked as a mercenary and investigator in the 'Buster & Blondy Co.' within Voidspace, with Blondy being his trusted blunderbuss.
Vijay played him during the Beneath the Void mini campaign in which he worked for the Starburn Starguild.
Like most other Warforged, he was created during the The Great Aurian War. Like most of his kin he was purposeless after it, and spent a bunch of time wandering with nothing to keep him company except his trusty weapons from the war.
He had forgotten his name, designation, and whatever little identity he had. Eventually townsfolk from nearby noticed him and talk spread of a lone machine man who wandered the outskirts of civilisation.
This drew the attention of groups which needed muscle, ranging from adventuring parties to criminals. Under their employ he finally had something to do and objectives to follow, even if some of them were illegal.
His fame also grew with these escapades and people would specifically reach out for his help in matters which needed a strong arm. The only thing he knew to be true was his Blunderbuss, the only thing yet to fail him. He took up the name "Buster" and christened his Blunderbuss as "Blondy".
One day, a Mind Flayer nautiloid picked him up alongisde many other people. As a machine, he couldn't undergo ceremorphosis, and escaped the Mind Flayers with a deep dislike of them. Now in Voidspace, he decided to become a bounty hunter. "Buster & Blondy Co." had a long and established career leading up to them finding themselves in Zaerock, working a few jobs for crimelord Sezza Starburn of the Starburn Guild.

In 3E490, deep in Voidspace, crimelord Sezza Starburn controlled much of the space around Draxaria, ruling through Zaerock within the Rings of Zaeria. Faith Blackreyne and Buster worked for her, and two more freelancers were hired, Sylvia and Zephyr. Faith truly trusted Sezza and had worked for her for some months already. Sezza gave Faith a new ship, that she named the Eon Raven. Their task was to go deep into illithidspace around Alphyth. As they left, they ran into an asteroid field full of destroyed ships, and were attacked by space sharks controlled by Vampires. After defeating the vampirates, they finally made it to Alphyth. Sezza contacted them and had Buster reveal that their true task is to recover “Prisoner Zero” from the Civitas Caelorum, the mind flayer prison citadel. To learn its orbital position, they landed on the moon of Alphyth, Moros, near an abandoned duergar mining outpost called Moros Base 3. They discovered that it was destroyed by something some centuries ago, and went deeper into the subterranean ocean base. There, they discovered the flight logs, but awere attacked by a Protean Abomination consisting of all the dead dwarves. After defeating it, they rested at the base and repaired the Eon Raven.
The next day, they made it to the Civitas Caelorum. They infiltrated the lower levels, sneaking by sensors and mind flayers. They ended up fighting a lot of mind flayers and grell, and finally made it to Prisoner Zero’s cell, who looked like an ancient construct. They fought the illithid known as the Warden, and made it back to the Eon Raven with Prisoner Zero. As they escaped, they were chased by a nautiloid. Prisoner Zero took control of the ship somehow, flying into the upper atmosphere of Alphyth. As he did so, the party defended them from Byakhee. Zero flew the ship out of Alphyth once they’d lost the illithids, jumping to hyperspeed. He revealed that his heart was made up of what he called Dimensium, a near-infinite battery. He was a weapon developed in the Omniborn Crisis, and locked away by the Elves. He told them to go to sleep.
The next day, they reached Dobuna’s orbit. There, Zero took them to an old ruin floating in its orbit, where he recharged himself to 20%. Not wanting to go to Sezza, he fought them, but they ended up taking him down. They promised him that they wouldn't hand over Zero to Sezza, and Zero in exchange shouldn’t fully recharge and wreak havoc on mortals. They headed back to Zaerock, where they were confronted by Sezza. She was saddened by Faith’s betrayal, and lit up a red sunblade. She and her honor guards entered combat, one of the guards even killing Zephyr’s shadow-dog. Faith ended up taking Sezza down, creating a vacuum of power. They thought about taking over her operations, as Zero bid them farewell, flying off into space.
3E220 - Buster was created alongside most other Warforged to fight in the The Great Aurian War.
3E302 - Buster was picked up by a Mind Flayer nautiloid. He escaped and proceeded to create Buster & Blondy Co. in Voidspace.
3E490 - After working for Sezza Starburn for many months, Buster was sent on a mission to rescue Prizoner Zero from Illithidspace during the events of Beneath the Void. He later turned against Sezza and helped take over the Starguild.
