Often called the ‘Gateway to the East’, Chanmasek is one of the largest trade hubs of the seas, situated in the western Waypoint Steps. It has a key position situated on the only naval trade route that heads towards the eastern continent of Eteru, most ships passing through its harbors. While ships can easily just sail past it and avoid docking at Chanmasek, the lack of other nearby deep water ports makes it difficult.

The city has southeast-asian aesthetics, more influenced by Xi-Di and Eqosi immigrants than the nearby Crimsons.

It also houses the Tangerine Bank, the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Run by Baron Zhang Baoshi, formerly the pirate lord of gluttony, the bank seems to own and run the city in its entirety.
