The Dharksource, also known as the Upriver Caverns, is an area of the Underdark under northern Aurial. It's named after the upstream of the Dharkriver, one of the major rivers of the Underdark.

The Dharklake is often said to be the true source of the Dharkriver. The lake is divided into many caverns and is not one huge body of water all across its entirety, and is located directly underneath the city of Vogh Vulfrhûn. The Dharklake is thus considered to be one of the major access points to the surface.
