Commodore Zolen is a high-ranked official within the Crimson Navy. He helped the crew of the Phoenix Nebula during the events of Curse of the Blood Sea.
Biography
Zolen rose through the ranks of the Crimson Navy rather normally at a decent pace. In 3E450, he was given command of the newly acquired settlement of Port Philin and Fort Rawan. There, he began investigating Dr. Genso.
He met the crew of the Phoenix Nebula and had them prove themselves to him by clearing out the nearby Shrine of Vertum of monsters. Afterward, he had them arrest Captain Roonan Deeprose for him, and let them take Shoila Ahdini with them.
He worked with Dr. Baizo, unaware of his true self. Despite his lax attitude with the Nebula, then-Admiral Isabeau overruled him and had them hunted down and later turned into privateers. She also made Zolen's life a bit harder and reaasigned him to the docks in Gravesbry.
Later in 3E452, Elise Pearlwynd contacted him and asked if he was aware of what had happened to Roonan. He started looking into the matter discreetly, and discovered a secret Crimson prison even he wasn't aware of. He found out that it held Alastorm Redfield as well as Phaona Arrands. He argued to have Roonan released, and paid for his bail. He then contacted the Phoenix Nebula to go and meet Roonan.
"I have information about the Redfields. Can't talk like this. Head towards Arrecife del Verano, and ask for the red cat at the cyclone inn."

When the Abyssgate opened and the demons attacked Sombus, Zolen ended up losing his left arm in the fight and was fitted for a prosthetic arm by Xoe Yizuko.
