Ymirus, alongside his sister Laufus, is said to be the first of the giants. They were born like the rest of the giants from Dimensus' sweat as he put the realms into place.
Ymirus was killed in the Realmshatter alongside many of his kin.
He is still worshiped by many of the remnant giants and goliaths on Abmarah, although his importance has largely faded from memory. He is also customary worshiped by Môrists as a part of their ritual practice venerating fallen deities.
