Chirutapalli (చిరుతపల్లి) is a small forested city within the southern foothills of the Km’mala Peaks, nestled in a small valley between two mountains. It is well known for its shipbuilding industry situated on the banks of a large navigable river, with most of these industries being owned by the noble Chirutapalli Dynasty who get their name from the city. There are slightly more jungle-dwarves in the city than humans, responsible in part for the industrious reputation that it has. Chirutapalli is said to have been founded in the early first era, though it did not grow into a major settlement until the third era when the strategic importance of their deep-water river was realised. Much of its growth has been attributed to its elderly ruler, Raja Jalapathi. Despite being an industrial hub, the city keeps nature in balance with the constant presence of druids and engineers working in tandem to make sure lumber is acquired sustainably without harming the environment.
