Hebanyang (ꯍꯦꯕꯥꯟꯌꯡ) is a small village northeast of Koorjing. It is built on a mountain considered sacred to Therahti, and is known for the monastery of death where monks and clerics worship the afterlife gods and goddesses. Other than the monastery, the village has a small population that subsists on terrace farming. The proximity of the town to the mountains of the Undead Sands as well as the Veiled Wall is not accidental, as the monastery has links to both of them. The mountain is rich with iron ore, which has led to some immigration of desert-dwarves to the mountain village. They have slowly acclimated to the heights as well as the culture of the dragonborn. The town only has a small trade route leading down towards Koorjing, and a small road leading further into the mountains towards Magrang. The Monastery of Death supports a positive view on the concept of death and the afterlives, without delving into necromancy. While some of the monks worship the death gods, many of them do not adhere to any religion and simply meditate on the philosophy of mortality. There are rumors to the connection the monastery has to the Undead Sands of al-Shhubus, but the Veiled Guard has also worked a lot with them.
