Ashbowl, formerly known by its native name Aruto, is a small city situated in the Western Edeni. It used to be a small town within the Kingdom of Kazarin before it was conquered by the Lunar Collective and incorporated into the Lunar Kazarin Protectorate in 3E330.

Over time, the demographics of the town changed as more and more Lunarians settled in Ashbowl. They built aurian-style walls and battlements outside the city as well. Ashbowl is constantly under the ashfall of Kazarin Peak and lives under the shadow of the supervolcano.

By the end of the third era, the city became a hotbed for revolutionaries fighting against Lunarian control of the Edeni.
