Xījīng (熙京) is one of the great ancient cities of Abmarah, and is the capital of the Republic of Xi-Di. The city has also served as the capital for most of the dynasties that have ruled the Xoenni Peninsula over thousands of years. It's often considered to be one of the most populated cities on the planet, and is possibly the third most populated after Jamre and Sombus.

The city has been built on top of itself many times over, some of the older castles and towns sinking underground after great floods and urbanization. In fact, much of the southern half of the city is built over the swamps and deltas of the Xiānní River. While the soil is great for agriculture, it is much too soft and the quality of construction is always lackluster.

The northern half of the city is much sturdier, and a lot of the ancient architecture has survived to this day.
