“The River Remembers.”
A cadet house of the now-extinct Dabull Dynasty, House Mahawala is a small mahaan house that controls the central part of the Rethi River around Nubarii. Vassals of House Rethi, the minotaur family has a deep resentment for the destruction of their kin at the hands of House Zaaba. They use the symbol of a red buffalo featuring the symbol of Murudev submerged within the yellow river under a red sky.

Nawab Urukh Mahawala II
M Minotaur, Nawab of Nubarii
Urukh II has only ‘recently’ become the Nawab of Nubarii after his father Nawab Vahram Mahawala passed away nearly a decade ago. He listens to the wise council of his mother Begum Anahita Dabull, and many believe that she is truly in control of the city and is making him a puppet. A calm and collected man uncharacteristic of the reputation of his minotaur ancestors, he is loyal to House Rethi and therefore House Zaaba. There is pressure on him to find a wife as he is nearing the age when Minotaurs tend to settle down.
Senapati Koz Mahawala
M Minotaur, Senapati of the Kasaaqi Sena
The middle-son of Nawab Vahram, Senapati Koz is the complete opposite of his calm older brother Urukh II. A brash and easily angered man, Koz is known to be a tactical genius if a bit reckless. He attained a high rank in the Sena rather quickly, and rumors speak of him trying to revive the now-extinct House Dabull. His mother Begum Anahita Dabull is the last surviving Dabull, and his older brother is already Nawab Mahawala. Therefore, Koz is considered to be the last hope of ever resurrecting House Dabull as he has the only claim to the name.
Urhammu Mahawala
M Minotaur, Guard Captain
The youngest son of Nawab Vahram and the half-brother of Urukh II and Koz, Urhammu Mahawala is in his twenties which is especially young for a Minotaur. He is yet to be known for anything of note, only having been nominated as the captain of the Nubarii guard so far. Unlike his elder brothers, he is rather carefree and does not concern himself with politics or ambitions, happy to live a life of peace and nobility.
Begum Anahita Dabull
F Minotaur, Begum-Mother
The elderly Anahita Dabull is the last surviving member of the once-legendary House Dabull of Dibayad. Most of her family were executed by Mahataraja Kretu II nearly a hundred years ago when she was still a toddler. She holds much resentment for House Zaaba to this day, but is loyal to them despite her desire for vengeance. Her fury is directed more towards House Vokiro who she sees as usurpers of the Dibayadi throne. Still controlling much of the city through her high position, many claim that she is priming her younger son Koz to reclaim the title of Dabull. Despite all this anger, Anahita remembers nothing of Dibayad or her dead family, having only been told stories growing up by her mother.
