Wesamala (വെസമാല), also known as Wesabos, is the capital city of the Swarna Authority as well as the Aatrii Kingdom within it. It is the oldest and largest city within the Varkunasam Rainforest, and is situated at the westernmost point of mainland Eqos at the mouth of the Pachur River. Its comparatively isolated location makes most people forget that Wesamala is actually the third largest city on the continent after Jamre and Kasaaq, sometimes called the “Gateway to Goldheim”. The city started as a local pasnhera village that was further expanded by human immigrants from the Surya Sultanate in the late first era. While most of the forest around the city has been cleared away for farmland in the modern day, traces of its forested past still remain in the many sanctuaries and groves within the city limits. Wesamala has no real walls inland, but has large battlements protecting its western coastline built to repel the many teerian raids over the centuries. These battlements all protect the large “Atrikotta” palace, home of the Aatrii family and the former center of government in the region.

It has become one of the most important trading ports of Abmarah, as its strategic location and status as the headquarters of the Swarna Guild forces a lot of shipping routes to pass through its ports. As such, there are always more travelers within the city from all over the world than are accounted for in the population reports. These trade ports and guild offices are one of the reasons why the Authority has been able to prosper and project its influence across the rest of Abmarah. Just north of the city are hills containing many gold mines, which were one of the primary reasons for the initial settlement of the region as well as why the Swarna Guild became so powerful as compared to the monarchy.
