Jakth (जक्थ) is a town just east of Dibayad and under its direct jurisdiction. The settlement formed on the bridge-crossroads in the fertile Rethi Riverbank, as it is just north of the famous Dur Bridge that crosses the river into the Vyzum Wastes and the city of Kaitzur. The town has long been a point of conquest, as it has swapped hands between the Dibayadi Empire and the Kasaaqi Hukumat many times. It is in the process of militarization and fortification as the nation prepares for possible war against the Calamity Covenant. The town suffers from the same racial tensions as the larger Dibayad, as the minotaurs and panshera are still trying to co-exist after the tensions of the past century. While other towns of this size might be given to a minor mahaan house, Jakth is too close to both Dibayad and Kaitzur to truly have independence from either of the cities. The economy here completely depends on trade and agriculture, and its low-lying nature has resulted in devastating losses whenever the Rethi River has flooded.
