Jerakh (जेरख) is a town on the Rethi Riverbank in between Jakth and Rethibad. The settlement is yet another one of the many villages around the river relying on agriculture, and is under the jurisdiction of Dibayad. The town is known for its many ghats including cremation ghats where people submerge the ashes of their departed loved ones into the holy Rethi River. However, most people with the means to do so make the pilgrimage to Janaghat instead. The town relies on trade and agriculture for its economy, and has rarely been a point of political tension despite having been the border between the Dibayadi Empire and the Kasaaqi Hukumat for centuries. There are many fortifications within the town that have been left to ruin after Dibayad was incorporated into the Hukumat. Jerakh is also famous for its rather large temple dedicated to Raasha, the god of death.
