Not to be confused with Victor Blackreyne, the son of founder Trevor Blackreyne and Daerron's grandfather who he named Viktor after.
Viktor, self-styled as 'Viktor Blackreyne', was a first-generation Warforged that was a senior hunter of the Blackreyne Brotherhood. For nearly its entire existence, he was the de-facto leader of the Brighthunt. He was the brother of Dr. Rho.
In 3E498, he was a secondary antagonist of the The Light of Lunaria, and was killed when he attemped to take over the Brotherhood by the Darklight Crusaders.
In 3E220, Viktor was created during the The Great Aurian War and deployed to fight in the Cinder Steppe. In 3E222, He was left for dead in a battle near Giranigrad and rescued by Brighthunt artificers. Viktor was experimented upon and dissected by the newly-formed Brighthunt on orders of Archhunter Daerron Blackreyne and some Lunars who wanted to know of any weaknesses that the warforged soldiers had.
He survived the experimentation, and Daerron had him deprogrammed and freed from his orders. Taking on the name 'Viktor', he chose to join the Brotherhood. Around the same time, another warforged was similarly repaired and freed by the Brotherhood, by the name of Dr. Rho. Since he was rescued and repaired by Daerron, Viktor thought himself almost like a son to him.

In 3E224, he was brought into a secret meeting in Night's End with a few others including Rho where Archhunter Daerron Blackreyne revealed that Viktor was to become a founding member of the Brighthunt, a sect that would do unofficial and unseemly missions that the greater organisation cannot be seen doing.
They were sent to retrieve a light artifact from ruins under Ruskerton for Saint Kol-Han. His warforged nature made him especially suspicious to the Crimson guards there, and his teammate Sirakos had to charm their way in. While Rho thought that the citizens were curious about them, Viktor thought that they were afraid. Later in the ruins under Ruskerton, they met androsphinx Zondras who asked Dr. Rho and Viktor what the meaning of life was to the newborn machines. Rho aimed to gather wisdom and find it out for himself through a journey, while Viktor simply said that the meaning of life to him is to make his own decisions and come out on top no matter what. The party recovered Ballista Aries and helped Daerron reawaken her, hoping that this would end the war sooner.
Not long after that, Archhunter Daerron Blackreyne disappeared mid-war and the brotherhood was taken over by Cîrhel Blackreyne who took on his name to carry on the Blackreyne legacy. This irked Viktor, who thought that if anyone he deserved the name. He did not object back then though, as he was now essentially the de-facto leader of the Brighthunt. He would later go on to become the most prolific and important Brighthunt agent, often considered to be the unofficial third Head after the Headhunter and the Headscribe. He never saw his brother Rho again after he left the brotherhood in 3E246.
In 3E365 during his 725th mission, he was partnered with Brighthunt Exorcist Roston Räuchermann on a job to assassinate someone of high importance. Roston got grievously wounded during the mission, and Viktor brought him back to Night's End where the Brighthunt accidentally turned him into Moghroth.
In 3E401, Viktor was partnered with Daraza in a non-brighthunt capacity. However, this mission was classified, as Archhunter Elric Evervale sent the two into the Shadow-Wild to do something unknown. After the first half of the mission, the two split, with Daraza continuing his mission in the Feywild and Viktor continuing his mission in the Shadowfell. After 5 years in the Shadowfell, he returned to Abmarah in 3E406 having completed whatever his mission was. Viktor revealed that his source for the location was Xaniv the Whisperer. By this time, Viktor had worked with the Ballista often.
In 3E464 during his 1220th mission, under direct contract of Archhunter Zmeya Merkuriyev and Patriarch Kol-Han, Viktor acquired an important artifact from a classified location (presumed to be the Dark Crystal) and delivered it to the Golden Church in Sergorod.
One of Viera Blackreyne's first actions as Archhuntress in 3E470 was to call a senior vote in which she proposed to end the Brighthunt for good. Viktor objected to the dissolution, but was outvoted 7-6 in the vote. Much later, she called another full council vote to lessen the gold fees that the Blackreyne hunters took from people, aiming to have a more charitable organisation not unlike the DoD. This vote she ended up losing, however, Viktor and the others outvoting her. Despite the official dissolution of the Brighthunt, it was alive in all but name while Viktor continued to live.

In 3E498, Viktor was hired by Kol-Han again to locate the Dark Filial that was stolen in transit to Sergorod by a necromancer named Luka. He knew that Esfir Vasilieva and the Darklight Crusaders knew more about it, and met them in Dobuka at a warforged-friendly pub alongside an automaton named Brush that was a witness to the crime. After Zhenya murdered Brush, Viktor and Blackreyne Hunter Mash forced Dmitri to arrest Ilya. At Castle Neogathol, Viktor then forced the party into going to the Shadowfell for him and bringing back the Dark Filial, alongside Mash.

He was left for dead in a battle near Giranigrad (Now St. Arbalsburg) and rescued by Brighthunt artificers. Viktor was experimented upon and dissected by the Brighthunt on orders of Brighthunt Founder ARCHHUNTER DAERRON BLACKREYNE and Lunar-Rebel Commander ████████████████ who wanted to know of any weaknesses that the warforged soldiers had. VIKTOR survived the experimentation, and DAERRON had him deprogrammed and freed from his orders. VIKTOR was then inducted into the Brighthunt itself as one of its first members. VIKTOR would later go on to become the most prolific and important Brighthunt agent, often considered to be the unofficial third Head after the Headhunter and the Headscribe. He objected to the dissolution of the Brighthunt in 3E470, but was outvoted 6-5 in a senior meeting. (VIERA, CAN, OTTO, DARKGRAVE, NAIGHA, FIELDOR in favor of dissolution & VIKTOR, KENZO, ZHALIMOV, VORIAK, HEIGALL against.)
While they recovered the artifact, they never intended on giving it to Viktor or the Church. Mash organised a secret meeting with Archhuntress Viera at her personal villa in Taltigo, who all but wanted to see Viktor's crimes exposed and him gone for good. When she disappeared fighting the Dark Hunt in the Goldheim Rainforest, Viktor organised a takeover of the Blackreyne Brotherhood itself. Many of his former Brighthunt colleagues such as Zhalimov and Voriak supported this, as any would-be heirs of Viera were not present at Night's End. The only leadership opposition he had was Can Vanadiyin, Otto Albiker, and Silas Darkgraves. When Mash and the Darklight Crusaders returned to Night's End, they fought against his supporters with those that opposed him. The Crusaders broke their way into the Archhunter's Hall, where they faced Viktor for the final time.
"Archhunter Trevor Blackreyne, the founder. Archhunter Oliver 'Oly' Darkmere, the founder. Archhuntress Vera Blackreyne. Archhunter Valki Blackreyne. Archhunter Sypha Darkmere. Realistically, this is where the familial line of the founders, Blackreyne and Darkmere alike, ends. Valki simply adopted Daerron, who was my savior. Archhunter Daerron Blackreyne disappeared. Following that, I watched as Cîrhel took on his duties and took his last name, becoming Archhuntress Cîrhel Blackreyne, only in name, not by blood, just like Daerron. After her, Archhunter Dwosi Oilstone, the Duergar. Then, Cirhel's adopted son, Archhunter Erryk Blackreyne. Then, Archhunter Elric Evervale, the Firbolg. He's the reason for all this Shadowfell-Feywild nonsense, you know? Then, Erryk's adopted son, Archhunter Leonhardt Blackreyne. After him, Cirhel's actual daughter, Archhuntress Ethera Blackreyne, murdered by her successor, Archhunter Zmeya Merkuriyev. Finally, retaking her adoptive mother's name, Archhuntress Viera Blackreyne.
The name means nothing anymore. Adopted children, adopted children, adopted children... The last name of Blackreyne is simply but an idea, not blood. The closest thing I had to a father was Daerron. Should it not be me who claimed the name of Blackreyne instead of the elf Cirhel who had no connection to Daerron nor Valki? Should I not be Viktor Blackreyne?
This is a brotherhood, and yet Archhunters fall into this trap of naming their sons and daughters the next Archhunter... After Viera's death, who will be next? The daughter, Faith, who has run off into the skies to be a pirate? Or the adoptive son, Grimm, still but a child. No. And certainly not Can or Otto, near the end of their days. If these adoptive children is all it takes, then that is exactly what I am as well.
It will be I, Viktor Blackreyne, who claims the title through connection to Daerron Blackreyne. I shall be the Fifteenth and FINAL Archhunter of this brotherhood, and I will reshape it to become what Viera has bottlenecked it from becoming. It will become EFFECTIVE.
Of my thousands of brothers, I had a real brother as well. Rho... I do not know if he is alive or dead... But I hope he will come to appreciate what I am about to do. This is where the senior members held a vote to disband the Brighthunt. This is where the Blackreyne Brotherhood will be born anew."
Viktor gave a long speech on how he deserved to be the fifteenth and final Archhunter and that he's going to take the name of Viktor Blackreyne due to his connection to Archhunter Daerron Blackreyne. Mash saw the ghost of Archhunter Daerron regretting who Viktor grew up to become, but did not blame him for it. Viktor talked about all the Archhunters as well as his brother, and he resented Viera for disbanding the Brighthunt and forcing his hand like this. The fight broke out, and it was extremely difficult as Viktor's overdrive mode made him nearly impossible to hit. However, Dmitri was eventually able to blind Viktor, which allowed Mash to get a final hit in causing him to shatter into many pieces. Can commanded the fighting to stop, and forced the ex-Brighthunt members into surrendering and breaking their Brighthunt amulets.
